What radio echoes look like

These images formed the original radiometeory.pl gallery. They are preserved here as a record of the project before the current automatic, interactive archive was built.

FROM STATIC IMAGES TO RAW CONTEXT

The waterfall shows time and frequency

Time advances through each capture while frequency occupies the other axis. Brief compact marks, longer trails and sloping Doppler signatures reflect different signal histories. The modern archive adds audio, precise UTC timing and interactive inspection to these earlier static screenshots.

A strong narrow echo preceded by several shorter traces — A strong candidate recorded during an October 2021 stream, with several smaller traces visible nearby.

A bright short-duration radio echo — A particularly strong, short-lived echo. At 143 MHz, dense ionisation is needed for an intense return.

Several short traces and one brighter event — A group of weaker traces around a brighter event in the historical waterfall display.

A sloping Doppler trace from a moving reflector — A historical example attributed to a satellite or another slowly moving reflector rather than a meteor trail.

Two separated returns in one historical capture — An unusual 2021 capture originally described as a possible meteor return beside an EME candidate.
